During the UK and French lockdown period when people were not legally allowed to France due to the local government restricted travel, we did everything we could to help out by moving bookings, giving credit or refunding customers. The situation now having to quarantine on returning from France is different.
You are legally allowed to travel even though the advice from the UK government is essential travel only. All the UK and French ports and operators are open and functioning as normal and your booking is still valid.
If you decide that you no longer want to travel due to the UK 14 day quarantine requirement and need to cancel your booking, this would fall within our standard terms and conditions for cancellation which means you would not be entitled to a refund or 50% refund if your crossing is more than 56 days from the cancellation date.
However, we are trying our best as always to help customers out in this situation and are able to offer the following;
- - Move your crossing to any later date up to the end of October 2020.
- - Cancel your booking and receive a 50% refund on the cost of your ticket.
All bookings that need to be cancelled or moved can only be done so if the crossing date hasn't passed... even if you didn't use it. We MUST know at least two working days before your crossing to give P&O staff time to confirm the cancellation as they can't cancel after the outbound or inbound date and time has passed. Currently it is taking 2 working days for P&O to confirm cancellations so we recommend if you know you are not travelling please let us know ASAP.
It is a very difficult situation for you and us also so we hope that this offer that we have arranged will be acceptable as it is over and beyond what we would normally do. If you need to cancel or move your crossing please email us at email@example.com with your reference number and we'll get it sorted for you.
Thanks for your understanding.
